Reaching my Goal

So I totally passed my goal for last week. In case you don't remember my goal was to make at least $100 and I can proudly say that I passed with flying colors!!!! I love having money. The first thing I did friday after work was to go on my first ever shopping adventure all by myself. It was the greatest thing ever! After 6 hours and about 5 shirts, 3 coke refills at Target, 1 season of Scrubs, and 1 pair of pants later I was on my way home. It was a great weekend.

A Little About Me

Well I have a few new obsessions and here they are:
*Houndstooth (if you don't know what it is you are no longer related to me)
*The Epilogue of Harry Potter---I want to know everything about their lives!
*Re-doing my room. My new bed spread is in the mail. Hopefully it will be here before the reunion!
*Shoes ( Aren't they the greatest thing in the world?!)
*Spending money but I miss it once it's gone.

That's about it. Missing you all! Can't wait for the family reunion!!!

To Fill the Void

I'm bringing back the myspace take pictures of yourself thing. Being recently back from Girls Camp has taught me that I don' need to wear makeup for playgroup---love it!

Well...

I want to write a Harry Potter blog and put pictures on it but Kendall has them all. Kendall---please help me get pictures from your camera.

Girls camp was last week and as always it was a blast. Except for the rain that kind of sucked. Favorite parts include our group skit Harry Beaner (for those of you not clever enough to figure it out it's a play on Harry Potter and my group was the beans), running all the way down hill from the top of angels rest (about 2.3 miles, our legs payed dearly for it the next day), and having Julia stay with me. I love friends that can come over after a long time and it is still so natural. Well life is pretty much back to normal after last week. My goal this week is to make $100 so I can put money in the bank and still have enough money to but Scrubs season three. To some of you who make $90 a day I am sorry if you are laughing but to us poor starving kids that is like hitting the jackpot! I am babysitting 3 days this week, helping with chores at someone else's house (I am told that I will be conditioning a couch), babysitting for a whole bunch of kids that are cousins with Kendall, and I have playgroup twice. I think it's pretty likely that I will surpass my goal but I am keeping expectations low.

A Mini Natural Disaster

Tonight I was watching So you think you can dance as I usually do on wednesday nights and there was this huge shake. I swore a car hit the side of our house. Mom thought we got hit by a tree so we went out to have a look. No tree in our house. Well it turns out there was an earthquake! I was in an earthquake. Luckily the tv didn't go out, I would have been really mad if it did. More on SYTYCD tomorrow.

Harry Potter

It was so good! I love love loved it! All the characters are getting so cute---all except for Fred and George that are starting to look strangely like old men. In this movie I love Sirius Black so much. He does look kind of like a mob boss with his velvet suits but you can't help but love his guts. Teen angst it like the best thing ever. I love that Harry is so mad at everyone, don't you think he has a right to it? The final battle was amazing! I wish magic were real because it was a beautiful thing to watch. The end was so emotional, I even cried a bit. The only thing that was not my favorite was the Occulemency (?) lessons. I never imagined that it would be that painful. Well in the end I can't complain to much. It is for sure the best book and now the best movie! I cannot wait for the rest of Pottermania month---the book in 10 days!!!!

Well my first order of business as a real liscence carrying woman was to make the raspberry cheesecake ou tof my cook book that I have been dreaming about forever. Two trips to the grocery store (by myself) and 1 springform pan (that Alaina gave me) later I had a huge raspberry cheesecake. Enjoy! I wish you could come and have some it really is huge.

My Liscence

I have it. It took us forever to get it because we missed the first appointment and then we had to wait around all day hoping someone else missed their appointment so I could have it. Driving around by myself is the coolest thing ever. I thought it would be weird but really it is so natural. I love it. Can't wait to drive other people around.

whats new with you?

Isn't that the greatest thing ever. It really made me think that maybe not one person is meant to convert someone but it's the impressions we leave with them that make them more open to accept the gosple later. This is very happy for me, I have missed Aimee so much and it is comforting that someone I have so much love for could finally have the gosple. Now I am even more excited for Christmas so I can go and visit her!

Little Boys

JULY

Happy fourth of July people. Sometimes I think about the bbq's we use to have in Arizona and I miss them. I miss swimming too. Oh well Kendall's many boy friends are coming over tonight and we are setting fireworks off our back deck and we get to have a fire in our new fire pit---Yay! Miss you !

Play Group and My Face, the Pizza

Well another day and I am hard at work blogging during my break at playgroup. I love some of these kids so much, they are so cute. The smallest one Maude (middle) doesn't quite get how to blow her pin-wheel thing so she spins around in circles and gets really dizzy. It's funny to see her try and walk after that. The boys on the end are crazy! I don't know I have a lot of fun with all of them. Now on to my face. I really have no idea what is happening to it but it sucks! Especially since I could be taking a picture on friday (if I pass) that I will have to live with for a very long time---my liscence! The side of my lip has split, and I have zits all over my chin. I should mention that I can't open my mouth wider than one finger or the scab on my lip breaks. I will admit this breakout is not as bad as Natalie's that one summer. I think we all know what I'm talking about. Love you Nat!
Well I am trying to stay positive because hopefully I will get my liscence in three days. Hooray!
